Hong Kong (December 17, 2020): Today, Lapidary Limited, an impact venture building platform, is launching its first wholly-incubated sustainable apparel brand, AndAll

AndAll offers shirting that combines gender-free silhouettes and construction with a focus on quality artisanship, sustainability and ethical production.  Timeless design, inspiring prints and a focus on circular production underpin the brand’s approach to quality and garment longevity;  AndAll shirts are designed to be the foundation of any wardrobe, season after season.  The brand not only offers a truly versatile, visually inspiring garment, but one that also engages with the modern consumer and motivates more mindful consumption. 

Circularity drives every aspect of AndAll shirting— especially in the  brand’s choices of materials and manufacturing processes. The brand uses materials such as TENCELTM Lyocell fibers from FSC and PEFC-certified eucalyptus wood sources along with a highly water-efficient digital printing technology to bring their prints to life in more sustainable ways.

“Our goal is to re-think the way we produce and consume,” says the brand’s Co-Founder, Christine Yu, “AndAll embodies this: a visually inspiring, thoughtfully functional garment designed and produced using circular design principles. We’re also calling attention to the intertwined nature of sustainability and the conversation on gender stereotypes in retail and the fashion industry as a whole. We’ve made a shirt that focuses on body shapes, not gender stereotypes. ”

AndAll also showcases that a focus on sustainability is a viable business model. “We think we’re doing something different, not just in creating a brand that is sustainable from a product perspective, but from the way we run the entire business” adds Kyros Shirazi, AndAll Co-Founder.

Brand and product highlights:

  • AndAll is launching with The Digital Oxford Shirt—a gender-free fit shirt made with respect for people and planet, in seven gender-free sizes.
  • AndAll shirts are designed and made with circular design principles: The Digital Shirt exemplifies the brand’s commitment to bio-based, biodegradable fabrics, such as those made with TENCELTM Lyocell fibers. The shirt is constructed in 100% mono-material: down to the interlining and sewing thread. 
  • AndAll is committed to sustainable and zero waste principles: no plastic is used in their consumer packaging. Every AndAll shirt comes in a reusable cloth bag made with second-quality fabric, which also incorporates the brand’s own production scraps. 
  • Sales periods, global shopping holidays and discounting do not feature in their sales practices given their commitment to responsible production and consumption.
  • Tree planting in place of product discounts feature prominently in activities such as signing up for AndAll’s newsletter, returns, and referrals.

His professional experience includes extensive buy-side and sell-side investment banking work at various investment banks in London, New York and San Francisco. Kyros’s move into entrepreneurial finance with Lapidary combines his corporate finance and investment banking background with his belief in values-aligned investing and sustainability as well as his desire to work with inspiring entrepreneurs on an ongoing basis.
